Napoli intersection shows Italian drivers are nuts [VIDEO]Nominee

The Titanic Awards survey found that Italians are the world’s worst drivers.  Not sure that’s quite accurate. Most are very talented drivers; they just drive as if the traffic laws are suggestions.

They all seem to know what they’re doing, which is more than what can be said about Los Angeles drivers.

This is such an accurate video–I used to live in Naples and the traffic laws are definitely just suggestions. Pedestrians should be very careful–if you make eye-contact with a Neopolitan, it means that you saw him and it’s your fault if you’re hit!

I agree with Katie. The roads are like driving in bedlam. I was stationed in Naples for 3 years while in the Navy and it was crazy. They even drive on sidewalks over there. Additionally a driver will dead stop in the road and run in to a taverna to get an expresso while traffic is backed up what seems like forever. I was also hit while crossing a street and I did NOT look in the driver’s eyes. Thankfully I got away with just bumps and scrapes. There’s an old and very true quote saying “see Naples and die.”

amazing how poeple can manage on their own without all the laws and speed camera’s our crooked politicians put in to make money.
The US ambulance chasers wouldn’t make much money over there!

The beauty is that it works. No time wasted due to traffic signals, and everyone going about heir business

Just returned from Rome and I agree, the driving there is nuts.
Drive like that anywhere in North America and you’d lose your licence in 5 minutes.
