FAA: Flight Delays Caused by “Glitch,” Not Just Long Lines, Slow Security, Too Much Carry-on BaggageNominee

For the second time in about a year, the FAA  system that collects airline flight plans had a minor fail, causing flight cancellations and delays around the US.

Until it’s worked out, controllers have to enter flight plans manually. At least in some locations.
